In the Community
For more than 50 years, the Washington, DC Chapter of North Carolina A&T State University Alumni Association, Inc. has made significant impacts on the community in which the chapter resides.

The chapter also performs various community service projects in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area. With the Adoption of a Highway, the chapter has the responsibility to maintain a section of Central Avenue (at Rt. 214 and Rt. 193) in Bowie, Maryland. The chapter was very instrumental in volunteering for the American Red Cross where several nights they supported the families who were displaced by Hurricane Irene. The chapter also adopted a family by helping to furnish their home with donated items as well as provide them with many living necessities. The chapter feeds the homeless, donates to families during Thanksgiving and Christmas, and supports other local organizations& community activities.

If you would like to support the chapter’s efforts on impacting the community, please email your request to social-rec@wdc-ncatalumni.org

This is an excellent means to recognize, honor, celebrate or memorialize an individual, a group (aggie fans), an organization or a corporation. All sponsors are welcome. It bestows special honor not only upon the person or group named, but to the DC Alumni Association in acknowledging your continued support of our legacy for scholarship and athletic programs, community service and fellowship activities.
